Brent Ford is the Managing Director of Guardian Asset Management and Investment Services Limited and Guardian Group Trust Limited and is also the Group Chief Investment Officer for Guardian Group. Over the years since his start with the Group in 1986, Brent has accumulated immense experience in both investments and management. He has been a member of the Executive Team, being appointed Investment Executive of Guardian Life and then Group Chief Investment Officer. Brent is currently responsible for all investment operations within the Guardian Group and sits on the Investment Committees of all regional group companies, including those in the Dutch Caribbean. He acts in the capacity of board member for several of the Group's subsidiary interests. Brent also acts as Trustee to the Guardian Life ESOP Plan. He holds a BA in Finance from University of South Florida, and FLMI certification, as well as an EMBA from the University of the West Indies.
Leon Ramdeen joined the Guardian Holdings Group in January 1989. He has a wealth of experience in mortgages and investments that spans some 20 years. Leon’s qualifications include a Financial Management designate through ACCA and a FLMI designate through LOMA. He is responsible for Operations & Technology for the Company which includes the administration of investments for all funds under management. His duties also includes overseeing the Finance and Compliance functions in addition to Systems Support and Functionality within the Asset Management Company. He also holds the position of Reporting Officer for Guardian Group Trust Ltd & Guardian Asset Management & Investment Services Ltd and the appointed Liaison Officer for these companies for all Internal Audit matters. He currently sits on various committees within the Company (Investments, Risk, Executive Management) and served as a Director of Servus Ltd and as Chairman of GHL’s HSE Committee from its inception.
Paul Wynter joined Guardian Asset Management -Trinidad in December 2010 having previously worked with Guardian Asset Management- Jamaica since its inception in 2002. At Guardian Asset Management-Jamaica he initially held the position of Vice President Finance and Operations and was later promoted to Snr. Vice President Finance, Risk, Research and IT Operations. He was seconded to Trinidad in 2006 and successfully lead the business implementation of a new investment management and accounting system for the Trinidad and Jamaica investment operations. His career spans over 25 years in the financial service, unit trust and credit union industries in Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago and prior to joining Guardian Asset Management Jamaica he held senior executive positions in a large Investment Management Company and Unit Trust as well as holding the non-executive position of President and Chairman of the Board Directors of a medium sized credit union. Paul has also gained considerable experience in audit and accounting having been an Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he spent 8 years. Paul holds a BSc Degree in Accounting from the University of the West Indies (Mona) and is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica.
Narisa Hosein joined Guardian Asset Management and Investment Services Limited in November 2005 as a Portfolio Manager. She has more than 19 years of general banking, investment, sales, project management, portfolio management and trading experience. Narisa currently holds the post of Vice President- Investments, responsible for developing, implementing and executing the investment strategy of Guardian Asset Management and Investment Services Limited, its suite of mutual funds and group and client portfolios. Narisa is a holder of a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Edinburgh Business School in the UK and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a Past President and Board member of the Mutual Fund Association of Trinidad and Tobago.
Ricardo Hunte joined the Guardian Group team in 1999. Ricardo is an accountant by profession and ACCA qualified, and he possesses over thirty (30) years of experience in Insurance, Finance, Audit and Asset Management. He started his career at Guardian Group as an Investment Analyst, and was soon promoted to the position of Manager – Investments while on secondment to Guardian Group Fatum (‘Fatum’) in Curacao. While leading the management of the TT$4.6 billion Fatum portfolio, Ricardo also represented Fatum on the Supervisory Board of the Dutch Caribbean Securities Exchange (DCSX) and acted in the capacity of Treasurer on the daily Board of the DCSX.
On his return to Trinidad Ricardo was appointed V.P. – Sales and Marketing at Guardian Asset Management, a position which he currently holds. Ricardo’s wealth of investment and management experience along with the rich investment opportunities at the Guardian Group form part of a winning team.
